Post-emergent Poa annua herbicide
Exquisite
-
Safe to all cool- and warm-season turfs
-
Eradicate Poa in 1-2 applications
-
A fractional cost of market Poa products
Exquisite is a selective post-emergent Poa annua (Poa) herbicide that is safe to all major cool- and warm-season turfs and delivers the most effective and efficient Poa control on the market.
Exquisite outperforms the two leading Poa herbicides, Xonerate® and Poacure®, in both effectiveness and efficiency. At temperatures between 65-90°F, one application of Exquisite achieves >90% Poa control, while Xonerate® and PoaCure® require 3-4 and 3-6 applications, respectively, in order to reach 80-90% control.¹
As for the rest of the market, Exquisite is simply in a class of its own. Other Poa herbicides, with the exception of Prograss® and Velocity®, are unsafe to cool-season turfs including bentgrass. Bentgrass is the most commonly used turf type for golf course greens, and is therefore at risk from run-off, spray drift, etc. when using these products even in golf courses with warm-season turf. Effectiveness has been further diminished due to the confirmation of Poa resistance or cross-resistance to these ALS- and/or PSII-inhibitor herbicides², which includes Velocity®. As for Prograss®, control is known to be inconsistent, especially during spring applications.³
mechanism
Absorbed through Poa stems, leaves, and roots, and transported via phloem and xylem throughout the weed’s vascular system
Weed lipids and protein membranes are attacked and destroyed, resulting in rapid cell and cell organelle disintegration, and therefore blocking cell development and cell division

symptomology
At higher temperatures (65-90°F): symptoms are more obvious including stunted growth, leaf chlorosis, necrosis, or burning in 3-5 days after treatment followed by death in 14-21 days.
At lower temperatures (40-65°F): symptoms are less obvious in the first 3 weeks. Eradication occurs in 28-35 days.

use directions
-
Exquisite is a granule formulation.
-
1 bottle/15-L of water/150-200 sq. meters. (Dissolve and mix well bottle contents in 15-L of water in a sprayer. The solution can be used to treat 150-200 square meters.)
-
Do not mow the turfgrass 2 days prior to application and 2 days after application.
-
Apply on a sunny day.
-
Make sure to spray entire weed leaves, stems, and roots.
-
Do not water within 24 hours after application.
Note: (At lower temperatures (40-65°F), results may take 3-4 weeks to appear. A second application may also be required at around 21 days after the initial application.
¹ Exonerate® 2SC: Poa control at 60 DAIA (days after initial application) is 80-90%. Beyond 60 DAIA, the control % tends to decrease. Please refer to the Exonerate® 2SC label which describes 3-4 applications and (a)-(b) below for the 80-90% efficacy:

PoaCure®: Poa control at 49-77 DAIA is 80-90% excluding its failed control results. Please refer to the PoaCure label which describes 3-6 applications and (a) below for the 80-90% efficacy.
